I have long been facinated by line, the drawing element that emerges most dramatically in my work, both in representational and more abstract statements. My drawings and paintings build on those linear elements with the addition of color and surface texture. A layering effect is created by combining materials of varying values and textures. Hence, the "process" of my work.

My attraction to linear forms from nature has led me to a world that serves as an inspirationfor my personal artistic expression.
