Heat + Light

Washington Wax Works

Encaustic begins hot. Once its molten surface cools, light reveals hidden depth and detail that seduce and intrigue the viewer. Gallery goers are routinely delighted by how each artist interprets using wax with such individualized technical expression, exposing them to new and uniquely captivating art forms.  “Heat + Light” will explore the hidden allure of this complex medium.
