Organization:  Whitman Walker Health

Description/Mission: Our mission is to offer affirming community-based health and wellness services to all with a special expertise in LGBTQ and HIV care. We empower all persons to live healthy, love openly, and achieve equality and inclusion. Through multiple locations throughout DC, we provide stigma-free care to anyone who walks through our doors. We are proud and honored to be a place where the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer communities, as well to those living with or affected by HIV feel supported, welcomed and respected. We strive to be a place where we see the person first; a healthcare home where you will be treated with the dignity, respect and love.

Organization: Casa Ruby

Description/Mission: Casa Ruby is a Drop-In & Crisis Intervention Center, provides limited financial assistance to those enrolled in their career and employment services.  They work with individuals of all backgrounds, races and ethnicities, genders and ages, to connect them to Social Services. This bilingual and multicultural organization provides much needed services to our local LGBTQ community. They provide preventive healthcare, housing services, skill building, and immigration support services, and support services for victim of violence.

Organization: Lydia’s House Southeast

Description/Mission: “Lydia's House, established June 1990, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to breaking the cycle of poverty by Growing Children, Strengthening Families, and Changing Neighborhoods. Headquartered in Washington, DC’s far southwest neighborhood known as Bellevue, Lydia’s House provides social services, emotional support and educational resources that address the needs of low-income and at-risk families at every stage of the poverty cycle.”
