It is with great enthusiasm that I announce my new role as Director of Studio Gallery. I first joined the Studio Gallery team in 2016, and spent a year interning under Svetlana Shaindlin. Under the direction of Lana, Studio Gallery has truly re-invented itself as a gallery of the 21st century, while remaining true to the artist-focused mission set forth by Jennie Lea Knight. My internship at Studio Gallery was one of the most educational and rewarding experiences of my entire career, thanks to the extraordinary artists and Lana’s fantastic leadership.
Following my internship Studio Gallery, I spent roughly six months working at the National Gallery of Art, and another six months at the immersive and innovative ARTECHOUSE. Following these experiences, I attended Georgetown University for a Master’s degree in Art and Museum Studies, and I graduated earlier this month.
I am incredibly excited to begin my directorship at Studio Gallery. I hope to follow in Lana’s footsteps, and continue to utilize the latest technology to reach new audiences in Washington DC and beyond.
