Cuba on My Mind, Again
Working despite formidable odds and decades of embargo, I remember Havana, and Cuba as a whole, as a sensory awakening atmosphere, with the reflected heat in the city, the urban compositions are imbedded my memory. For me, Cuba is here again in a new political, cultural and, aesthetic reconfiguration.

To Look For America
"Every moment can be experienced with creativity as unique, and new.
In painting I am looking for a taste of the wholeness of this experience.
How to come, through an abstraction, in relation with an impression that can
be as vibrant as a moment of true attention.
In a sense I always enter my studio to "look for America".

In The Flow
The new works are rhythmic explorations of repetitive motions found in Tai Chi practice. By observing and sensing the flow in her own daily practice, the artist interpreted the outer and inner physical energies of some of the movements. Her usage of line and color on canvas and paper culminate in a personal fusion of art, meditation and physical energy.
