Deborah Addison Coburn sees faces everywhere. Known for her colorful and crowded oil paintings and prints, which combine hard-edged geometry with organic shapes and lines, Coburn has now focused like a magnifying glass on details in her own work, to find a collection of strange characters and creatures hiding there. The result is a series of bold “portraits” in oils and watercolors, which challenge the viewer to look through their mind’s eye for whatever signs of life can be found there.
